One of the most important service projects Troop 80 does each year is grave decoration at Golden Gate National Cemetery in San Bruno. Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts from Pacific Skyline Council decorate over 125,000 headstones with an American Flag.
Years ago, there were so few volunteers that it would take most of the day to honor our fallen with American flags. Today, a few hundred scouts get the job done before 11 a.m.
This year weather cooperated very nicely. Usually, it’s a cold, wet fog with a chilly breeze. This year, it was cloudy with a slight breeze. By the time our scouts were done, it was picture perfect weather.
