What should have been a snow camping preparation trip turned into a day hike up Mt. Diablo, one of five peaks to earn the Rim Rover award.
The forecast was ugly, i.e., thunder, lightening, gale-force winds, so plans were modified. It was a successful trip in that nearly everyone who planned on attending the snow trip to Sugar Bowl in February was able to make this day hike.
We are a rain or shine troop. We love weather! We leverage the “out” in scouting.
